How I'm Becoming a Developer

Disclaimer: This is my real life story. All of this is true.

I want to share my journey in IT and introduce my life story, how I started learning programming and what motivates me to keep going.

My Beginning

In 2009, on February 16th, I was born in a small town in Ukraine. From birth, I wasn't in good health.

When I turned 6 years old, I started to show interest in the internet. At this age I got my first tablet. And that was the beginning of my journey in technology. I spent a lot of time playing games on it.

Getting Started with Programming

Starting from 6th grade, I became interested in programming. I started watching tutorials and practicing coding exercises on YouTube.

In 2020-2021, I began to learn more about programming. My first programming language was Python. At the start of my journey, it was literally hard for me. But later on, I got better at it.

Coding on Tablet

I started coding on my tablet, which was a great way to practice and improve my skills. It allowed me to write code anywhere and anytime. I programmed using an app from the Google App Store named "Pydroid 3".

Godot Experience

In 2023-2024, I started learning the Godot game engine. It was a new and exciting experience for me. I created some small game called "Winter clicker"- small game clicker based on the Godot engine. Was uploaded to Itch.io. It was good experience for me. Now it's game closed

Looking Ahead

As I continue on this journey, I'm excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. I'm constantly learning new technologies and improving my skills, and I look forward to sharing more of my experiences.

Ending School

In 2025, I finished school. It was a hard time for me because I had to say goodbye to my teachers. But at the same time, it was a new beginning. I started to think about my future and what I want to do with my life.

By this time, my health had improved significantly. I wasn't feeling great emotionally — my state was sad. So starting from this year, I began spending a lot of time on the internet, programming more, watching videos, and more.

During this time, I also created my social media accounts:

Optima College

In 2025, I started studying at Optima College. I chose the Full Stack Developer program. Nothing interesting from 2025 to September 2026 — we'll only be studying school subjects.

What's Now?

Now I'm still learning programming, and I'm also working on some personal projects. I don't have friends, so I spend most of my time on the internet, learning and coding. But I'm happy when someone writes in DMs, watches all my content, likes, reposts, or comments on my posts on any of my social media. This is the biggest support for my projects. Thank you so much guys ❤️

My Skills

At this time, I have programming skills such as:

  • Python
  • HTML
  • CSS
  • Git
  • Sqlite3 Database
  • Golang
  • Small Experience with Godot Game Engine

Is It Enough for Me?

Well, I don't think so. I want to learn more programming languages, and I also want to learn more about web development, game development, and mobile development. I have a lot of plans for the future, and I'm excited to see where this journey takes me. I love IT. For me, it's my life, my interest, and more. I don't want to give up.

Conclusion

So... This is my story. I hope you enjoyed reading it and found it inspiring. Remember, the journey of a developer is never-ending, and there's always something new to learn. Keep exploring, keep coding, and never give up!
